probably 'cause he didn't take the time or effort to mix it with that much attention to detail.

not like it matters.

Edit: If i were awake enough, i'd put down some horridly stale guitar riffs over this, and track my own bass to it. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.

If someone wants to come up with a more varied rhythm track (drums/r. guitar) that'd be really cool... I like this idea a lot.

Cliff

I am going to use this backing with your bass, and do something on guitar.

But I don't think I can upload it on this sight.......can I?

When I get around to it I will upload it on Recording Project sight.

You should be able to download it by clicking on the"+" sign next to the streaming arrows.

Hmm...(listening) I am assuimg that you mean by "all over the place" that the bass level is too hot? I tend to mix the bass really high.

Listening to it I sounds like the notes slapped on the E string are louder that the slapped notes on the A and D strings. It is the fault of my technique. I wonder if a compressor will help with this? I tend to go straight in without anything (EQ, drirect box etc).

Thanks for the feed back

The guitar was not played to any click, it's just a continuous loop of one bar, and it's at about 104 BPM. But as you may know, it usually varies from program to program ...

As for hosting the files, I didn't even think of that, I just assumed everyone had somewhere to host them. I may be able to host the song files for you guys, I'll have to check how much room I have left online.

And guys, feel free to chop it up any which way you want ...

musicsdarkangel, you're right, the sound is totally horrible. How big is your original quality MP3? I'll host it for ya ...

clifchamb, nice! I wanted to use that to make my "entry" but it's mono! Did you need to make the file size smaller or something? And if you could add a tad of compressor on that bassline it would be UBER SWEET! :D

Keep it up guys! It's cool to see what everyone is coming up with!

Very nice! I find you sound similar to me, kinda the same type of groove going on. I'll try to record something tonight and post it here!

If anyone needs to host an mp3 to post it here, shoot me an email!

I'm still working on it. I've been super busy. Soon, I promise.:D

BTW, holy crap GJ, you're gonna make me look silly.:D

hehehehe im doin this as soon as i get home from work. see u then

Sounds cool all, Nice studio fade there GJ.

See Agtronic, you had a great idea after all!

How about posting each track seperatly so someone can download and remix? I can hear some rhythm guitar parts I could add, but right now it's too busy for them to fit without remixing.

Hey Clif, how are your Bass pick ups? Maybe you should lower the side closest to the E string a little? Just a thought.
