How to user stereo effect when mixing vocals

Hello there and hi!
I'm new here and this is the first post of mine. I'm don't speak english, so please. I wonder how to make vocals. I record them and then i want to process them in a way that they sound familiar(the same) like in the record example. But, sorry, it's a not main part, tell me ,please, how to use stereo? Should i put it on vocals or i put it on master or i put it in both and even vocals,back vocals,Master ???
 
For effects like reverb you should create an effects bus and use auxiliary sends from each channel. Set the reverb mix control to 100% effect (no unaffected signal). Use the output of the effects bus to blend it into the mix. Use the sends on the channels to control how much reverb you put on each channel.
 
I read what i'm wrote and forgot that i can't post link's so i delete a part of my message. Sorry bouldersoundguy but the question is stereo spreader and not a reverb/delay.

I see. I don't use those, I just pan things wide if I want them wide.

If you're using an effect that simply manipulates a signal that's already stereo then you would put it on the master bus or on a stereo submix group bus. If the track is stereo you could insert it on the channel.

If the effect creates stereo from a mono source then it depends on the DAW you're using. If the DAW is flexible about mono/stereo on a channel (e.g. Vegas*) you can put it right on a channel, but it may still be advantageous to use a submix group bus. If the DAW is rigid about mono/stereo on a channel (e.g. Pro Tools) then you have to use a stereo group bus.

*In Vegas, if you add a stereo effect to a mono track the output of the channel automatically becomes stereo. In other DAWs a stereo effect on a mono track will be summed to mono at the output of the channel.
