How to Setup US-122/NT1000 with Cooledit

Hi,
I just purchased a NT1000 Mic and TASCAM US122. Just pluged everything installed the TASCAM drivers and launched Cool Edit and push the record buttton and tried to record and doesn't work. Do I setup my mic in cooledit or any recording software so that it knows I'm recording with the mic?
 
Make sure that you have the us122 selected as the input device in Cool Edit. I haven't actually used Cool Edit, so I am not sure on exactly how to do it, but it should be in the manual. Also, make sure that you have phantom power on, that can throw you for a loop. I know it did when I first started!
