Hi all, i'm using Cubase 5, and i'd like to know if anyone here know how could i select my project tracks with my FCB1010 midi pedal board. Let's imagine, I've got one project with 5 audio tracks, every track has got one vsti of Amplitube or guitar rig..etc.... and my goal is select the track i want just with the pedals of my FCB1010. Anyone here knows if that's possible?? Thanks in advance.

Sure it's possible!

The secret is getting the footpedal to issue commands that Cubase understands.

This can be done either by changing what the footswitch is sending or changing what Cubase is listening for.

Either way, you will find the free MidiOx app very useful. It's here: MIDIOX. It's been around a while - you can tell by the mention of MySpace in the text...

Once you get it downloaded --- donations are optional but suggested --- play around with it for a while until you're familar with the basics of the app. There's a screen that will be especially useful for your application which shows what a connected midi device is sending over the midi wire. It will probably be easiest to connect your FCB1010 to the input of MidiOx because it will just show the commands and not the other stuff Cubase needs to send to do all the various tasks it needs to execute to do it's job as a digital workstation --- running status, etc.

You may need to adjust both the footswitch and Cubase until you get it working correctly. Once you do, MidiOx is also able to save the system exclusive data that will return both the footswitch and Cubase to the working state, so don't fail to save them both once you get it working.

I don't use Cubase, I use Reaper but I'm almost postive that someting as basic as changing the active track with midi commands is possible in Cubase as it is in Reaper.
