what´s up if I´ll use a pre mic like focusrite red or avalon thru my AP2496 (direct) it could be a not good idea?

Welllllll... you certainly dont need to change your card... :o

Bass is a mono instrument, just use a left or right in... get an RCA to 1/4" converter, and then try any of the numerous DirectIn boxes, or a line out from your amp perhaps...

I hear alot of people liking DI bass for some reason...

Just have a play around with it, I dont see why you wouldnt get a nice bass sound from your guitar :)

I use an Aguilar Bass pre-amp, to my mixer, to my soundcard for recording bass, it sounds pretty nice.

ok

THANX a lot for your time guys!
ok, I have no idea about sound recording so i´ll try rec thru ap2496 line and maybe get a sansamp. or A MDP3.
all is about time, I need to stay for a while close to my rig.
thanks, i´ll be trying.
