Hi guys, this is my first time posting on these boards, so forgive me for not knowing much. Anyway, I just recently bought the new Roland V-Synth and thought it would be easy to just play something and record it on my computer. How wrong I was!! First of all I just bought Acid 3.0 to sequence everything, I know i need a new sound card so thats not a problem. Basically I need to know how I can get something i play on the V-synth, onto Acid so I can mix in a drum loop/ effects, etc. Is it as simple as just getting a new sound card, and plugging my V-synth into it and recording? Then is it really hard to then get it onto a CD from Acid? I do have a cd burner but read a post that says I need Roland CD-RW. I am so grateful for this site and hope this isnt getting old

I really appreciate all the help and promise to read as much info as I can before posting another newbie question Its just i spent $2200 on this new Synth, and now I dont know how to record with it. BTW the V-synth is awesome would recommend it to anyone!

I am not familiar with the Roland V-Synth.

You should be able to connect the MAIN AUDIO OUT to the LINE IN of your computer. Therefore. you will be able to record it into ACID PRO 3.0.

Once you get a new soundcard, you should be able to connect the MIDI OUT of the V-Synth to the MIDI IN on the soundcard. That will enable you to control/play the virtual synths& VST's on your computer.

;)

Peace...

P.S.: send us a link to the Roland piece.

Ciao!
