i've been told (and experienced) that professional soundcards overwrite the windows audio settings, therefore deeming the windows recorder to be useless for recording audio. (specifically with my soundcard 'echo mia midi' when i hit record in sound recorder, it speeds up the music to chipmunk level, but doesn't actually record any audio signal). i'm hoping i'm making sense to someone, and maybe what i wrote is meaningless, becasue i shouldn't even be concerned with the windows settings. echo mia midi has its own mixing panal and i see the signal in it when something is playing, but i'm so clueless how to record.
heres a simple task i really need to know how to do but can't right now:
record the audio from NI intakt into the cubase sx2 sequencer.
thanks so much for solutions guys!
