I dont have a web page and nowhereradio is not taking new signups right now. Can I put mp3s on geocities or will they not let you have that much free space

I'm actually looking into the same thing right now.

My problem is that I do mostly cover tunes, which I think soundclick and nowhereradio don't allow. But anyway, to answer your question, I uploaded an mp3 to my geocities page without any problem. However, geocities seems to have some mechanism that prevents its sites from being linked to from other pages. So a link I posted here to my mp3 there did not work, unfortunately. The URL has to be manually entered, which is sort of a pain.

Let me know if you find any good options.

Thanks, :)

Shoot - also just realized from trying to get to a tune just posted by bradthefattest on geocities that there's some kind of download transfer limit, where if you go over it, they prevent you from downloading for a certain amount of time, which blows. :(

that has to do with bandwidth i believe. www.freewebs.com used to give a lot of storage with a high bandwidth. Their servers are pretty slow though.

I've been using SoundClick for about a month and they're pretty good, lots of traffic. But Covers are a NO-NO at most sites, unless you have permission from the copyrite holder, or if the song is in public domain. Here's a couple more sites that host music.

They'll let you put up 3 songs for free, check the forums there about doing covers.
