How to post a song in here

I have a song that I burned to CD, I have used the RIP funtion in Windows Media and I have succesfully sent copies to some of my friends via email. I am now trying to post it in a post in here(great sentence I know) using the attach function below. But whenI try to attach it in here it says invalid file...what do I need to do or am I not doing right...would someone let me know that would be great for myself and others I'm sure. Thank you.
 
The first two sites don't work...I have a song that's Window Media....I need to convert it to mp3, wav. or whatever it is to post it up in here.
