I can't figure out how to put songs on there

It's under the "edit artist profile" page in the tab labeled "manage featured songs".
You might run into problems right now though, as myspace has "upgraded" their music players and a lot of things are still not working right. If you can't get them up there right now, try waiting a week or so and try then... they claim the problems caused by their upgrade will be fixed soon, but we'll see.

I see edit profile but not artist., do i have to make a special artist account?

yes. if you want to have a music page, you need to create one. when you go to the sign up page, on the right side there are separate links for Musicians, Comedians, and Filmmakers.
