To mix vocal tracks with good consistant sound try doing this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. In multi track view, after recording your song choose "FX" on each track than...

2.Choose Amplitude> Dynamic Processing (Double Click)> Apply

3.Than click "FX" on the track again and choose the preset "4:1, -24, Very Fast Attack" .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Try mixing your track now with "FX Dynamics" as stated above on each track vocal. It should come out crisper and should sound professional. Oh yah and please remember not to let your songs clip. If your green colored volume bar at the bottom of your cool edit/adobe audition is red lower the overall track volume using the menu>window>mixer.

Any other ideas or fav ways to mix your vocals?

Post them here.

wow...

This should be a "Sticky" Dobro...

nice post blahhh...

its like....brighter than the brightest light I have ever seen.....so clear now...i just want to.....LLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can attach a sticky to post that I think should stay at the top of the page, but I have no tool that attaches a heavy weight to a thread in order to sink it off the page more quickly.

Will the preset "4:1, -24, Very Fast Attack" work for all vocals?

What is the -24 in the preset? Is it the threshold at -24dB?
