How to Make a Cymbal Stack?

I have a 16" Sabian B8 Pro Crash and a 16" Wuhan China...both are cracked and I heard you can turn 2 broken cymbals into a stack. How exactly would I do that?
 
You must experiment. Try tearing a thin circle of felt and placing it in between. You want the cymbals to have some play, like a slightly sizzly high hat. You control how much sustain by changing the separation between the cymbals. It's a very narrow range. Sometimes a remote HH is a better mounting platform than a regular stand.
