How to loop pre-recorded drum patterns?

I have some CD's with drum and rhythm patterns, each lasting about 20 seconds. What do I need to do to record and 'loop' a pattern from the CD? Mind you, I don't do computer! Thanks for any help!

Well...it's either use a computer, use a sampler, or use a reel to reel(lots of cuttin' and pastin' going on!)

A sampler is a unit that records a small SAMPLE of a sound like your drum loops and plays it on demand through a midi instruction. There are hardware samplers like Akai etc or virtual samplers like gigasampler or something.

If you have a tape recorder you can loop by cutting out the section and joining the ends. You then thread the tape up and let the loop hang over the front of the machine. If you then put an empty spool at the bottom of the loop it will rotate and keep the tension on the tension arm and the tape will loop round and round......geta sampler....it's easier
