How to get that "EMINEM" vocal doubling effect for rap??

This is just a very very subjective statement, but I really don't think that rapping suited the song at all.

The song is amazing, extremely well written, perfomed and produced, but that short amount of rapping just seemed to invade it like a bunch of sewer rats occupying a beautiful zen garden. Again, it may just be a matter of taste, but I like some hip hop (and I LOVE RATM) but it just doesn't have anything to do in such a great melodic song.

As for the doubling effect you're looking for, I have no idea :D

Ok. Yea....i havent found anyone who likes the rap. It's what i was feeling in the moment i was writing the song. I'll do a version just for radio and wirldwide distribution ;-p. thanks for the feedback! I actually like critisism more than compliments, so thanks for laying it down. Its the only way to improve! This is the only place i can get honesty. My friends are just going to say it sounds good no matter what.

Yikes! The song is about a time 6 months ago when my wife said she wanted out of our marrage (we were married 4th of July (American Independence day, for those of you living in other countries). The rap actually breaks the song lyrics down and defines them a bit. For example, "look at the sun, it fills up the sky for you"..."do you feel the breeze, blows in from the east for you, yea just for you", is actually me being sarcastic and making a statement that the world does not revolve around her or exist just for her. The rap basically breaks down my frustration to the point where i was ready to go "Wanna keep me here, wanna keep me near...you better lock that door!". Ok, so just a few min ago she heard part of the song and was like "aaawwee did you write that about me??? I realized the rap was coming up and i slammed the stop button before she could hear it! I guess further confirmation to get rid of the rap! Haha!

But without the rap, its just another stupid love song! Ggggr! ;-)

Hahaha I can really imagine this happening, and your ex going "why did you stop it?" and lots and lots of "uh, I, eh.. well..".

Keep up the good work.
