how to get started???

ok this is my situation.... in the past i haven been recording in a real studio but know i dont really have time to get in there all the time so i am trying to set up my PC so i can recod some tracks on here....so this is wat i know so far but i think i am wrong so i need lots of help... i have a keyboard that i want to use to make some beats ...so this is the list of thing i already have:

Keyboard w/MIDI in and outs
PC

so wat do i need to buy next?? and how ould i go by hooking it up.... well hope you can help me out ....iff you think its too much to write on here you can e-mail me at ohslg54@yahoo.com

Welcome to the board...

You will need a PRO AUDIO soundcard that has MIDI IN/OUT and a software sequencing program that handles MIDI.

Then you will need a lot of time to read the manuals and set it up and learn to work in whatever program you decide to use.
