How to get more inputs with SPDIF and Mbox 2

I heard I could get two more inputs with my Mbox 2 via SPDIF. How do I go about this? What do I need exactly? A mixer?

Can anyone recommend anything?

Well how badly do you want those extra 2 inputs? It's really not much effort...buy a spdif interface, plug it in...good to go!

well...do you need 18inputs/outputs? or do you just need 4i/o?

There's going to be a BIG difference in price..what do you plan on doing with your rig?

The main thing is being able to properly record drums. And, I would like to have a better mic-pre than the one on the Mbox 2.

what does "properly" mean to you? Will you be happy with only 4 tracks, 2 of which are Mbox pres?

well that's easily done with the SPDIF input of the mbox...
