how to get a full acoustic guitar sound?

thanks... well I don't know... it's a taylor 614ce... and yeah new strings... actually I have gone from 12's to 11's... the 12's hurt my fingers.

Nice sound on the demo, Sonixx. I have a 714 and can't seem to get a good sound using the stereo mic setup. I'm using an SDC 12" from body/neck joint and LD same distance aimed between soundhole and bridge. It sounds like I might be having some phasing issues.

Another method I like is to mono track acoustic gtr twice, w/ one take capoed for a higher octave doubling effect. I'll then pan each take opposite L/R.

In that case you've eliminated my noise problem. I appreciate it.
If you still have a pick noise issue, consider changing picks and or picking method. I use Gibson tear drops, heavy. Also, for a softer sound or for reduced attack, I turn them around and use the rounded end and I angle the pick so it's almost perpendicular to the string. The top of my index finger fingernail has a similar sound.

Cheers...
