It's nearly been a week since i bought my computer and i still dont have it set up to record. I've got Logic Gold and i know i need windows 98 to run it. So i've got myself a copy and i'm try to get a dual boot going. But i can seems to get it to work. Obviously XP wont let me format the hard drive from windows but i cant seem to find out how to enter Dos and you cant fromat the hard disk that XP is on from a command prompt window in XP. I've tried running diskpart from recovery but it wond let me delete c: becuase its got files XP needs. How do i get XP to exit completely to MS DOS? How do i format my hard drive? Please help me, this is getting very frustrating!!

I forgot to mention ive created a bottable disk but even if i have it inserted at startup my computer still goes to Windows XP!

If the floppy is indeed bootable, then maybe your BIOS settings are wrong.

Go into BIOS by hiting delete when you first turn the computer on. (maybe, F2 or escape, what kind of computer?). Make sure 'floppy seek' is on and the boot sequence is floppy (or removable device), hard drive , cd-rom.

Hopefully you have format.com on that boot disk, if not, get it from another win95/98 machine. Found in c:\windows\command.
If you don't have access to a win98 machine, email me.

You can just run the installer. It's not picky like the Win9x installers.
