Hi All,

I hear this done alot by dj's. How would you do this in protools? Is it a simple sample that you can add as a half a note and drop out all the other instruments or is it a plugin effect? My example is in Marcelle Gardners Relapse Remix. I have been looking around for samples, but can't seem to find one that is loud enough to reproduce this effect...

EXAMPLE of what i am talking about. (RE-LAPSE REMIX)

try this plug-in out. it's my secret weapon on alot of projects!!!:D just put this on the master effect channel and play around with the parameters (mainly the "instant slow" and "instant slow speed") hint-hint. this is the easy way to randomly get the type of effect that you're looking for. there are other ways, but just start here.

HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE

Sweet i will see if this is compatible with protools. it looks like a direct x plug which is not compatible, but you have pointed me in the right direction. I have waves and it has a doppler effect. I just need to learn how to use it. :o)

actually you can use this as more of a post production effect. so if you have a wav. editor that supports vst's apply this and try it out.
