How to automatically duplicate a loop?

Hi
I want to improvise against a drum loop I have created on a previous track (in Cubase). How do I make the drum loop automatically duplicate itself on its own track?

Surely there is a way to do this without manually duplicating it before recording?

Some sequencers allow independent track looping and Cubase is not one of those. You have to go through the arduous process of copying and pasting the loop to your desired length.

Man I hope you were being ironic - that arduous process should take you about 10 seconds if you're slow at pressing [ctrl-v]

Ya know, I don't think Sonar supports independent track looping either, and that's one thing I really miss from my Digital Orchestrator Pro (Voyetra) sequencer. That thing rocks for MIDI sequencing. Haven't found another sequencer that matches it on the MIDI end of things. Being able to easily set up a beat and have that loop while you work out the other tracks is really sweet.

Actually, I was being sarcastic. Irony is in the mind of the beholder. Or so they say...

Now don't make me give your yankee hide a good solid language lesson! :)
