I have 16 tracks on two ADAT'a

Should I
mixdown on two free track on Adat and then buy a HHB burner, or
mixdown to minidisc and then HHB, or
mixdown to dat and then HHB, or
get equipment for computer and burn on cd-rom

thanks

Dragon,

The HHB reffered to is a stand alone CD recorder, and an expensive one, at that. HHB is the US version of UK's TL Audio equipment. Speaking of HHB, I heard the HHB Radius 10 (US version of TL Audio's Ivory 5051) is an awesome preamp with 4 channels. I've been trying to find a place that sells them to see how much the street price is. I've seen $640 quoted in posts, but I've yet to find a place that sells it.

Mark,

I think your last option is the best. You could buy a S/PDIF card (for transferring ADAT tracks), editing software, and a CDR for your computer. I've seen the HHB CDR850 for $1,149, so you'd spend a lot less for the card, software, and CDR. You can transfer the audio to your hard drive and have visual, non-linear editing and 4x to 8x burn speed (depending on which CDR you buy), as opposed to 1x for the HHB.
