How much should it cost?

Okay - here's the low down: Im thinking of buying an old 4-channel mixer from a friend. It's a "Traynor 4200 powered mixer" . I've tried it out and it works fine, and it is sufficient to my needs. How much should I be paying for this thing? (please specify whether you're talking in U.S. or Canadian $'s)
thanks alot - Alaking.

Wow...a Dinosaur!

It may be worth $50 to $100 US., if you need an extra four channels. But it will be big and clunky and probably noisier than anything new made within the last few years. For about the same amount of money you could get a small beheringer mixer brand new! Of course this won't power speakers, I am assuming that you want to use it for recording.

If you are going to use it live as a PA head...it might be a good investment. Since it is powered, and will drive speaker cabinets. But in general the sound quality will be less than great for recording

Sincerely;
Dom Franco
