how muich ram is everyone running? im using a P4 1.5 ghz pr. with 512 megz.

will dbling my ram greatly increase my power in sonar?

P4 1.8GHz, 1G RAM

Should have got dual CPU's.........

(well for Sonar 3.1 anyway :))

Q.

AMD 1900+ W/768Meg RAM. I went from 512 to 768 and noticed an improvement in the number plugins I could load. It seemed like less of a load on the CPU with the increased RAM.

thanx

im thinking of dbling mine from 512 to 1 gig...or whatever
hoping i can use more plug ins with less strain on my cpu
thanx again

Are you having any problems with 512MB? How many tracks are you using? FX?

I have an eMachine (256MB, 2.2GHz, 40GB HD) and have been doing okay dumping 3 tracks from tape to the PC. Had no problems until I added a 4th track and Aux Bus FX. Now I get occasional dropouts and false "disk full" errors. I thought adding 256MB more would help but would like to know what problems you're having.

mine is (512MB, 1.5Ghz, 80GB HD) I have no problem running 5 or 6 digital tracks(havent tried more yet) and put on about 3 or 4 plugins, and i believe its from running too many plugins(eq, guitar proces, autotune, compressors, etc..) I get occasional dropouts but not usually, i just hate watching the cpu% meter get higher and if it maxes out....my cpu freezez

Last week I added another 512 MB RAM to my setup (I had 512 RAM). If you want my advice: The more the better!!! :)
