well, i got a vintage AKG D12 , i use it to record my kick drum.
I'm gonna buy a second kick mic cause i often work with metal drummers and they just make more noise.

i bought that D12 for about 100 euro and it works perfect,
but is that still the price i'd have to pay for it today ?
but i think i should go for a D112 now ...

some advice or comments ?

thanx,

Good question, I've got one of those too.

* waits with baited breath.

They go for around 150 to 200 euro. I've got two of them old D12's and they're not for sale! Great kick mic, I like it much better than the D112.

Ít's also pretty good on bass amps and even an upright bass sounds good with a D12.

That's only about £150! Dammit. If the dollar didn't plummit after the war I could have sold mine to someone in the states.

I think they go for even less over here.

I'll definately keep mine then. I think they sound awesome on a kick drum.

thanx guys, i was real curious about it...

yeah, i'm not selling it, sounds OK, but i never had the chance to compare it with other kick mics... and of course, it looks awesome.....

i'm not selling mine either.... :rolleyes:

I just discovered that site....anyone use it much? It seems to be off on the few things I checked on there.

Good idea though.
