Im thinking about selling my PA since my band recently broke up and i don't really have the need or space for it right now. Ive had this peavey mixer for quite a few years and even though its been through heavy usage, everything is still fully functional.
Im just curious as to how much you guys think i should set my reserve at on this mixer? Its a powered (200 watts per side) Peavey xr800d .
heres a link to the manual http://www.peavey.com/support/searchmanuals/list/xr81216d.cfm

Honestly a reserve is a detorant. I dont use reserves. Simply start the bidding at your preffered amount.
Do a search on ebay for peavy XR, there is about 15 listed currently. You might get lucky and get $75 for it.

yeah thats what i was afraid of

for 75 bucks i would rather hold onto it. Its still way more usefull than any behringer krap in that price range (built like a tank).
I looked on ebay and from what i can tell the XR series kept the same numbers Xr800 but go up with the letters. The current model is the xr800F i believe. Most of the ones I saw on ebay were even older than mine and had less routing options. Hmmm i may have to sit on this one for a while.

How much do you want for it? My church is looking for another powered mixer. We might be interested.

to be honest with you, I was just trying to get an idea of how much it might be worth. Im still debating on whether or not i want to sell or not. I guess the price will sway me one way or the other.

stupid questions-> Do all the channels work? How old is it? Where you the first owner?

jblount-

they are not by any means stupid questions. They are the same things i would be asking if I was considering a used mixer.
All of the channels work as far as I know. We usually only had 3 or 4 channels going at the most during our rehearsals. Im not the original owner , another band had it for a live mixer, this is where it received most of its wear and tear. Ive had it for almost 7 years and never had any serious problems with it. I have no clue how old it actually is, my guess would be 10-12 years at the least.
