Ive rewired into cubase before and there were certain things about cubase that pissed me off just as bad as FL5.

I stuck with FL5 because its easy to make a groove work earlly on. You dont have to program a sampler to get the drums going. In reason you have rex and no control over the individual sounds etc....


I could go on and on ,, anyway this thread was about money wasnt it?

Hey Paradigm, actually in Reason you do have control of the individual sounds in a rex file...just not in the dr.rex machine. dr.rex samples are usually broken into pieces/sections and those individual pieces can be pulled up in redrum and possibly the nn-xt as well (don't quote me on the nn-xt part, but the redrum is true. I've done it many times).

Just droppin some knowledge.

Actually you can pull the individual samples into an NN-XT in Reason, it's just like loading any other sample. Just "browse" for samples, and when you find your REX double click it to access the individual slices, or just press "OK" (I think it says ok...) and that will put the whole REX file loaded in the NN-XT. Where you go from here is just a matter om imagination cause you can tweak the slices any way you want.

I had heard that and might have even done it once, but if I use a rex file, chances are it's in redrum.

I contacted DJ Nu Jersey Devil, he said that at lowest, his beats are 1 grand.
