Started buying back in the 80s, but came into my own in the 2000s

Wow! I saw some people had over 50 guitars and then I didn't feel bad for having 28. I think there needs to be a Guitar Buyers Anonymous. I can't stop. I tried selling some to thin the collection, since it is impossible to give them all the attention they deserve, but for each guitar I sold I would end up buying two more to replace it. My most recent purchases have been the best ones --guitars that sound good, play good, and look good.

My Favorites are marked with *. If you want to read the story about each of my guitars, including those that I've sold given away you can find it at kirstenray.blogspot.com/2008/02/guitars_24.html.

nice website, i like the scroll bar for the pics. that univox coily is very photo-friendly. the Squier 51, very good vybed guitar on the cheap and for fun-mod's...ur Giraffe Squier 51 mod, Keith Richards would love it!..:D

I'm a one guitar addict, one bass, one acoustic, one electric, one single coil, one humbucker, one mandolin, one amp...some of you would consider this most boring. now how long I keep my one guitar is another story er...another thread...... :p

Wait...does this include guitars I've bought for my kids or that I've given to my kids out of my collection? Like, "how many guitars are in your house" kind of thing?

Well, fuck it...I'll just say "more than 13"

I'm up to 20 now, with the addition of a new Fender FSR Straight Six Stratocaster, and a new Fender Standard Stratocaster. The latter is going to be converted to a Double Fat Strat, once I get two Fender Atomic Humbuckers (as opposed to Tex-Mex that the Standard Stratocaster HH has), 3x 500K pots and a .022uF cap for it. Still gotta get me a 12-string electric and a lap steel, and beyond that I have no clue what might trip my trigger, although I don't yet have a Fender Jazz Bass (when I have a Squier Affinity P-bass and Fender Standard Precision Bass).

My recent purchase, this makes 13, so I can't have that unlucky odd number, I'll have to get a 14th. or at least that's what I told my wife.
