A Gibson Epiphone semi-hollowbody that I have had for almost a decade.
While the Epiphone line gets a lot of negative reveiws, I've had that guitar's sound praised by many professionals, including Alan Slutsky, producer/writer of Standing in the Shadows of Motown .

An Eastwood Baritone guitar
Ridiculously awesome low end with a rounded sound. I plan to learn how to play upright bass so that I can double the parts an octave higher with the baritone and blend the two.

I have three. I have a samick acoustic (sounds nice for the money mahogoney wood) Crate electric(starter) ANd a les paul special

Eegads, I have owned so many guitars in the past 16 years. Sold most of them since having kids. Just looked at the pile of cases one day and said to myself, "Why do you own 35 guitars? You don't even play in this part of the house. This could be something more than storage for unplayed guitars. Oh, look there's hardwood floors in here!!!" And that is how I got my study/idea room.
So this is what I have left.
1989 Fender squire/strat(origionaly neon-pink, now wallpapered with 50 cent stickers from the super-market vestibule, kids, so you cant even see the pant). It was the metal version with a floyd and an h/s/s setup. Horrible, but the body is so heavy. I re-wired the whole thing with Seymores and better quality pots. This guitar is my baby, we've been through so much together. I learned how to do most repairs and mods on this guitar. It is not even a fender anymore. It's frankenstien.
A newer Godin Radiator my sister got for me for christmas a few years ago.(re-wired with covered SH-11's)
A strat fakie once again with a total Seymore re-wire.
A Galveston Les Paul fakie my wife got for me for fathers day 4 years ago(oddly enough, it doesn't sound too bad, very transparent tone, very nice with a hint of dist, very Down on the Upside era Soundgarden).
Fender J/P bass with active EMG's(aftermarket).
A BC Rich Warlock Platnum from 1990 that I can't get rid of because it reminds me of my embarassing metal hair days(balding crew-cut now) so it now lives hidden in my attic in excellent condition.
Some fender acoustic w/a fishman transducer system that sounds absolutly beautiful.
So, yeah, I used to work Q/C, repairs, wiring, pickup installation, ...ect..... at the Godin factory here in Berlin. Just curious, what do you all think of Godin guitars?

I thought Godins were made in Canada...
Either way they are really nice guitars, I can't get enough of the LG models when I play them all in the stores :p I'll buy one eventually.

I think the Godin bodies and necks are made in Canada, and then shipped to USA for assembly...they are nice though, I've been eyeing them as well. I like the way the ones with the P90 style pickups sound.

Well, I am up to 40. That's a nice round number don't ya think? So I guess I have more than 13 3 times so I should have a chain of stores.

Samick electric

Ibanez electric
Tradition electric
old,old,Harmony hollowbody electric
Regal resonator

Can I play all these geetars?..........noooooooooooooooooooooo
So why do I own them?.....I believe it is due to a mal-function right in the center of the brain........HEY! THEY LOOK GOOD! Especially the Hot Pink Tradition... :D Matches my Pink w/Blue lines geetar cord....

'87 Am Std Strat
'98 LP Classic
'90 Epi Sheraton II
'96 Alvarez Nylon, Cutaway
'79 Yamaha FG-340 (cheap but a great player after adding piezo & pre-amp!)

Hope to get a Gibson J-185CE someday soon.

............the same as I had on the original post years ago. Never got the Gibson J-185CE.

Yeah, that!

I've scored 3 more guitars since this thread started! ;)

If I count the one in the basement with no strings on, then five. Two acoustic, two electric, and one arched top. Nothing too expensive or too impressive I'm afraid!

Okay, so it's not another Tele...

...but I'm now up to 5 guitars, with the recent addition of my Squier Bullet Special. The more I think about it, I may end up going Squier for another Telecaster, and a Stratocaster. Right now, my proposed next future purchase will be an Epiphone EB3 bass...that is if I don't go for a used Hammond XK2 I've recently found out about. Anybody know what strings would work best on a Hammond? ;)

ibanez tc220 talman
ibanez thin line classical
yamaha fg 295
yamaha bb300 bass
regal resonator
fender tele
teisco del ray
lap steel ( built it myself )
aria pro II

5 instruments, only one doubled type....don't believe in having too many of the same kind of instrument, though I do understand those who do.

Old beater Yamaha acoustic
Ibanez acoustic
Ibanez JTK1 electric (fun guitar - 3 days old as of this posting)
Epiphone classical
Cort customized fretless bass

I still want to pick up another acoustic to dedicate to nylon strings - I love the look of the Yamaha AEX500N. I may have a hard time finding one, but I've played them and seriously dig 'em - besides....F-holes are cool.

The bass I bought from a friend who did all the custom work on it. Took his first bass, converted it to fretless, stripped the wood and took it to natural color, thinned out the neck, and put black hardware and black nylon strings on it. A lot of fun to play.

1 electric
1 acoustic
1 bass

The acoustic technically isn't mine, it's my dad's, but I'm the only one who ever plays it. It's a pretty nice instrument, I like the binding on the neck. It has this huge, full tone to it. Plus, it was only around $250. I can't remember the brand offhand, but I think it was a sub company of Tacoma.

The electric is a Casio MIDI guitar from '84 or '85. It retailed at around $1000, but I got mine used for $100. :D

The bass is just barely playable. I got it from my friend for $10. It's a Suzuki 'M' P-Bass copy. The electronics were all ripped out when I got it, and the pots don't work anymore, so it's wired straight from the pickups to the output jack. It's the biggest hunk of junk I've ever seen, haha.

- '86 Kramer 6-String w/EMG 81 and 2 singles
- Fender 12 String Elec/Acc
- Ibanez Nylon 6-String Classical Elec/Acc
- Ovation CC026 6-String Elec/Acc
- Ibanez GSR200 4-String Active Bass

Schecter C7 blackjack is on its' way!!!

Which just slides me into the 5-8 category, though I may sell/trade one of my guitars for a bass...

Current List:

1984 Fiesta Red American '57 Vintage Strat w/1961 neck (clay dots and all!)
Pink Paisley Strat (Japan) (recent model)
Aztec Gold Strat (Mexi) (50th Anniversary Model)
Gretsch Nashville 6120 (recent model)
Charvel Surfcaster (seafoam green/circa early 90's)
Taylor 614ce Acoustic (recent model)
Yamaha Country Jumbo Acoustic (currently on loan to son)
Ibanez Roadstar Bass (late 80's)

also odds and ends not worth mentionning...

Three right now:
--1963 Martin D-28
--1989 Fender Strat Plus (American)
--1972 Les Paul '57 (I think) reissue

I also have the first guitar I ever played (40 years ago) - a Harmony something-or-other, but I don't really count it as a guitar......

Plan on adding a cheap bass, a not-cheap PRS, and maybe a steel-bodied resonator within a year or so.
