how long are the cables attached to the m-audio cards?

thinking about the delta 1010 or the audiophile 2496. both of these have cables (a whole mess of em, in the case of the 1010) that come out of the soundcard, presumably to give you more jacks than the front of a pci card has space for.

but how long are these cables? they look really short in the pictures. are they long enough to run out, around the computer, through some furniturey obstacles, and up to the desk?

and... suppose i wanted to have my jacks in an external box... is there something i could buy to mount them in? duct taping them to a strip of plywood doesn't sound all that appealing...

The 1010 cables are about 6'
The 2496 is only about 4"
On the 2496 there is just a SPDIF and midi dongle.
Both these cards are designed to be used with additional cables of your own as tie ins. You can extend them as long as you like.

You can use a patchbay as your external box.
Sounds like you're talking about the 1010LT instead of the 1010 by the way.
