How is the preamp on the TASCAM M-208?

I just ordered a TASCAM M-208, and I plan on running 4 mikes into it, then running stereo output from it into my computer's sound card. Will I have sufficient mic amplification from the TASCAM alone to be able to do this? Or do I need to get more stuff?

Thanks

Depending on the sensitivity specs of your microphones, what instruments you are mic'ing and how loud your talent performs their parts, the mixer should be the least of your concerns.

The M200 series mixers from TASCAM are excellently made and sound great. I know. I used to own two of them.

The only feature they are missing is phantom power for condenser microphones so, if you have such mics, you'll need to invest in a phantom power supply box which can be inexpensively added onto your mixer as an accessory.

Cheers! :)
