unfortunately when I start connecting .. the Mic not work and No lighting detected .. I think the problem in the power but I dont know how I can solve this problem .

for your information the M audio support phantom power

so I need your help

Hey Qater you need a different microphone cable XLR to XLR to get phantom power to the mic from the M audio.

as moresound said you need a different cable...a condensor mic like the one you bought will need phantom power to work, the m-audio does supply phantom power, but the cable does not. you'll need a standard XLR cable to connect the mic to the m-audio fast track and it should work wonders :)
an xlr cable should be able to be gotten for like $10-15 so its not expensive. just head to your local music store and get 1. a standard XLR cable :)

Now did you purchase this stuff separately or at the same time?
If it was at the same time tell the sales clerk he messed up and you need to return the wrong cable for the proper one should be no charge.

I really hope this wasnt a package...that would be like serving a ribeye steak with pasta:spank:

It's REALLY important to know what you're doing:

First off, immediately get a good beginner recording book (spend $20 before spending hundred$/thousand$) that shows you what you need to get started and how to hook everything up in your studio:
Home Recording for Musicians by Jeff Strong - $15
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/04...mp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0470385421
(Wish I'd had that when I started; would have saved me lots of money and time and grief)

You can also pick up this book in most any Borders or Barnes&Noble in the Music Books section!

If you got it from Amazon, as opposed to one of their merchants, they'll make sure they do you right. Also their merchants tend to tow the line too, if they won't do a straight exchange I bet you could get into a deal, then you've got a second cable for a dynamic, which you WILL have in the future. If you picked the cable yourself, still contact them, cap in 'and, and see if they'll play. Be very 'umble.
