How do you use Antares Autotune 3 effectively?

Hahaha! At my job we use several different software products throughout the course of the workday. People are often surprised at what I can make "our" software do. All I did was read the manual or click the help button!

It may not be in this case, but there are things that actual use teaches you rather than a manual.
 
That's because an original sounding voice is more important (marketable) than a technically great voice.

it's kinda a sad reality
a band that, ten years ago, would have been forced to come to terms with the fact they sucked upon going into the studio now can put out a non-linear edited, pitch corrected piece of glossy shit.
it's easier than practicing for years, or admitting that you suck.
the process of making an album is loosing some of the "crap filtering" property that it used to have.


but i'm not telling anyone here anything they don't know.

Even worse than that, great bands who are technically not perfect will loose their feel because everything that made them great was corrected and quantized.

occasionally i try to get a band to NOT use a click track
(depending on the band, and the song)

This may not go down well in this forum, anyway I would like a copy of this antares but it is far too expensive. Over £200 smackers.

As a keen amateur I sing with heart and pride, but even with my best vocal performance I still suffer from pitch inconsistencies.

To the point: Can anyone point me in the direction of a crack. I use a Mac with cubase.

NO! No one can direct you to a crack. Your first post and you are asking people (some of whom write software) to help you steal? If you want to steal something, rob a liquor store and use the money to buy plugins.

This could be the key to my success. This could be the start of a millon dollar career. Bill gates started off using software illegally, now he's loaded.

When im loaded I will buy it twice, thats got to make up for it.

The vast majority of people on this board support software developers.If it weren't for the money coming in there wouldn't be an Autotune.

If you really can't afford it do a search for OBtune,it's not nearly as deep,but it's much cheaper than Autotune.

Programmers deserve to get paid for what they do as much as factory workers.

You may not have your million dollar career because once your million dollar song is released everybody will just download it so they don't have to pay for it. How could it hurt to just download one song without paying for it?
Who knows, if one of the downloaders gets famous (s)he might buy two copies of your song to make up for not paying for it in the first place! But it's understandable that the other million downloaders who didn't get famous shouldn't have to pay for the song because they didn't get famous.
Of course it's understandable your boss doesn't pay you for the hours you worked. Once (s)he gets rich (s)he might pay you double for those past hours!
Jeez, when it comes down to it, who cares about paying anybody for their work?
