How do you record Virtual Instruments?

Virtual Instruments like Virtual Guitars have plenty of styles but what do you do to record more than one style (regular sound + pitch-bend sound, etc.) in one track? Do you use several tracks and sub mix them? Thanks.
 
If I'm reading your question right and you are asking pretty much how to use the same instrument with different patches at the same time, then yeah use multiple instances of the plug-in. And copy and paste your MIDI track if you want the note informaton to be the same.
