How do you pronounce neuman?

Everyone pronounces it differently. I feel like an idiot when someone corrects me.

Is it pronounced....

Now-man
New-man
Noi- man
 
I thought it was Nie-Man, but I don't know why.

What about Neve? Neev, Nave, Nevay, etc?
 
It is, in fact, pronounced 'noy-man'...... (where "noy" rhymes with "boy") - maybe that's why Michael Jackson likes those mics so much! :eek:

Blue Bear is correct.... some pronunciation is one of the few things I retained from German class years back...

Neumann= NOY-mahn

"NOY" rhymes with "boy", "mahn" rhymes with "Han", as in Star Wars hero Han Solo.

James: You mean "Seinfeld"? :D ;) :D Spelled your way, it would be pronounced "SEEN-feld"... ;)

Neve is pronounced "Neev" (with same sound like "Thief" )

{Noy-mahn} is correct pronunciation of Neumann.

BTW, Sennheiser is pronounced {San-haiser} like in 'man wiser'

"Michael Jackson" is pronounced {Sik re-tahrduhd fuk} :rolleyes:
