Nice one!
Could prove difficult if both engineers needed to use the same programme, but I'm looking into this too much now.

The way I see it, shortcuts are just that, shortcuts. Even on someone elses system I would not be worried because it also does not take long at all to just use the mouse to do stuff that you need to do. I find that shortcuts are the most useful in the tracking phase, which typically would be less likely to have multiple engineers using the DAW at the same time

Shortcuts can save ALOT of time at every stage of the process!
I find that I save the most time when editing while using shortcuts.
Time is money so any time saved without loss of audio quality is key.
