How do you like this mix?

It's a vocal-less cover of a song by my favorite band, Millencolin.

I don't have the new monitors yet so I had to mix it on Boston Subwoofer speakers .

I've been getting complaints about the snare, I did give it a "canny" sound on purpose.

I too love Millencolin, and I am very familiar with Ryan Greene's work (he records pretty much all the Fat stuff.

In comparing this recording to his, the kick is what makes it sound like ass.....Ryan always has a ticky kick tone....I mean REALLY ticky...and I love it. Your kick doesn't have that 'round' click characteristic like his.....the snare is prolly alittle too loud....the can sound is good....just too overbearing. You have the guitar tones similar to Millencolin tones.....Can't hear the bass very well. What was your guitar setup (guitar/pickup/amp/mic/mic placement/ amp settings)....thanks. And yeah..sounds good.
