How do you edit the levels in the mixing console?

Thing is I have some mixes I have saved and when I go back to them I want to start fresh but the console does not let me override the previous mixdown. How can you reset it so all levels and changes made during the mixdown go back to the original raw way they were recorded?

When I use the SNAPSHOT it does nothing...
 
If you right click the fader you will see Edit automation Data - click it and you will get an editor similar to the keyeditor where you can add or delete automation data. There you can scub or alter any previous data you don't want.
