How do you deal with haters?

I think so. I'm not originally from here so I don't know the details. Texas history folklore says that we can secede from the union at any time without repurcussions and be our own sovereign country. I don't know if that's actually true, but there's a large groundswell of support down here for that happening. They're mostly dumb rednecks and conspiracy nuts though.
 
lol..yup..i love Texas, but fuck it has more than its fair share of idiots...mind you so does Cali an I love it too :)

ended up my two favourite places in the US...strange because most of the US hates them/loves them

yes i have actually, so there....i did a motorbike tour on my gixer through most of upstate NY and New England..full of poofters as far as I remember ;)


folks in Texas are the some of the politest, friendliest, well mannered folks you are ever likely to come across in real life...folks in Cali are just plain happy...So Cal is a great place...if it could dump the rest of the US Cali would be a great country ;)

Yes. I think "folklore" is the apropriate word. The Texas Legislature specifically renounced the right to secede in 1866, and the current Texas Constitution does not contain any prevision preserving the right to secede. There are certainly "feelgood movements" within Texas that like to put on their white robes and have a "secession rally" now and then around a cross shaped campfire, but there's no chance of it happening, or being permitted. I think we can take that to the bank.

Hey moresound, I checked it out in Wikipedia and here's what it said:

"New Hampshire's major recreational attractions include observing the fall foliage"

You want me to come all the way over there to watch the leaves turn brown?

I also learned that there are more people in Texas (even after taking out rogue goat/human cross-breeds) than there are in Australia... scary... perhaps you should be a country... :spank:

I think i take criticism really seriously because once I see a hate comment I take it too personally and it just sticks there in my mind. Especially when they spam around your facebook/myspace/youtube page and you have a pain in the ass to delete dozens of spammed comments.
Worse which has happened to me is when they taunt you in real life - only in one ocassion :eek:

Yes I've had some - I played professionally for 22 years and with lifelong asthma you have a windpower problem so I have a lot of videos on Youtube under MajoHart and other videos on my site at http://adcenter-usa.com/majorhart - he was complaining that I would sing waylon jennings Ramblin Man a lot better if I had the balls to sing it right. I told him about the asthma and that didn't stop him - so I said "look if you were a performer or made music videos - I would praise you and try to encourage you and if I didn't like them - I'd just go away -and I suggest you do the same" He did and I never heard from him again but I'm sure he's harassing someone else now. Hate is such a weakness. I feel compassion for those who hate. They are so completely without power in their lives that they gravitate toward other weaklings so they don't feel so alone in the world. Most of the time they do something irreversibly stupid before they heal. They are not my problem and yours either. They are their own undoing and should be totally ignored. After all, attention is the only thing they seek.

I wouldn't give it much thought.
 
I've dealt with plenty of hate in my life. I don't dwell on it though, I guess I realize that I hate certain things (although I keep it to myself) and so does everyone else (they just choose to be assholes about it). I don't understand the point of people shouting their hate from the top of mountains, it would just embarrass me to have all my feelings out there to be dissected even more. It's 5 year old stuff.

Good luck on dealing with your hate though. It's not an easy thing.

If you live in the city your whole life it's cool to see. Heck they bus in flat landers from all over as far as NYC and Jersey just to see it. We call them leaf peepers. They are a migrating elderly creature with blue hair and bad eye sight.

The Republic of Texas was a country briefly. They won independence from Mexico in 1836 and joined the Union in 1845. God only knows why.

Looking at the history of 20th and 21st century entertainment, it seems to me that many people have a harder time dealing with love and adoration......
 
you have to become them to beat them = and who would wanna do that #itsallaboutattitude
