How do these work? Alesis Mixer...

How does this work, can I plug the usb into my computer and have it send the sound directly into the computer, or does it save it on the mixer? Also If it sound directly to the computer, and I have 2 microphones plugged in it, and I am recording it, does it show up in 2 different tracks. Can I assign it to do something like that in a program like kristal? Thanks
 
According to the manual, which you can download and read in pdf form, the USB cable sends the left and right tape out signals to the computer. In other words, whatever microphones you plug into the mixer are mixed down and sent into 2 channels in the computer.
