I am close, well not as close as I would like to be, but pretty close to getting a MOTU 1224 in replace of my Darla. The question I have is does the 1224 have as good recording quality as somehting like an ADAT or DA-38? Someone told me this, "Unless you get protools hardware you won't get recording quality high enough to compete with an ADAT or DA-38's." Is this true words? I know your recording quality also depends on mic pres, mixer, mics, etc. Anyways I hope you can help me. Thanks.
