If you haven't already paid for Kinetic, and it's not the demo version, I'd start with buying a copy.

Well I wanna make beats but I need a MiDi input or something like that what is it!

If you want to make beats then MIDI isn't what your looking for (at the time).

You will want to look into a program called Fruity Loops - Its a music sequencer - you can very easily make very good beats on it if you know anything about music. Its the best program of its kind available for PC.

Download the demo.

You need a "MIDI" cable (can get one at Radio Shack there cheap) conneted to your "MIDI" Controller (keyboard etc...) connected to your MIDI Box (if your sound card doesn't have MIDI In/Out) thats connected to your Computer. Something like a Midiman 2X2 will let you use the program.

Midi

To make beats in real time you would be best off with an akai MPD16, which is a midi drum pad that you can asign to snares, kicks etc. A mixture of that and the AODK1 buy steinberg would be a good start. Don't confuse MIDI with real audio (wav files etc...). It is data, nothing more. The data can be used for countless operations. Like triggering drum sounds to controlling effects parameters.
