I have an MP3 file that consists of 4 songs on it.

How can I split it up?

I have a B&W G3 Macintosh with Toast Titanium

Thanks

Jason

open it up in a wav editer program like Sound Forge or Cool Edit, chop them up, save as different mp3's

:) Al, those are programs for a PC (Windows OS). cardigans1 has a Macintosh G3 (MAC OS).

won't the conversion to .wav format, then subsequent conversion back to .mp3 result in degradation of audio quality? It's ain't no lossless process.

Solution

Just wanted to let everyone know about the solution - I used Felt Tip Sound Studio. I clicked on "import with quicktime" to bring the mp3 file in, then sliced it up. The programed saved it as AIFF format and then I went back in and reconverted it to MP3.
