How do I split channels?

I have recorded through my omni studio onto track 1 in cool edit. but i have recorded two tracks onto it. one is channeled left and the other right. how can i split these into tracks 1 and 2?

So one track is in the left channel only and the other in the right track only? If so, highlight and copy the section you want for track one (left track only fif that's what you want for track 1) and open a new file and paste it there. Do the same for the other one.

As you can see, if you are in edit mode, move your cursor all the way to the top to highlight the left channel, then "COPY" from the EDIT menu, then "PASTE TO NEW," also from the EDIT menu.

Then just do the same thing for the bottom of the file (i.e., the right channel).

I'm just repeating what was already said b/c I like pictures.

You're not gonna' see it until after you've copied something. But once you have...HERE IT IS
