I'm sure this has come up before, but my searches are proving fruitless. I am using Cubase on a Mac PPC. I bring all audio into my computer by way of a Fostex mixer. I just bought a MOTU 2408, and am excited to get it hooked up properly. I have installed the PCI card & installed the AudioDesk software, but now what?
Should I send the tape output of each track into the corresponding RCA input of each MOTU track? And send the output of each MOTU track into the corresponding tape input of my mixer tracks? It sounds like I would essentially define the relationship between the MOTU unit and my mixer the same way as if the MOTU was a reel-to-reel, right?
Hope that made sense, but after reading manuals & sorting through cables for a few hours, you start to zone-out...
