i'm more of a songwriter/producer than techie, but now i'd like to learn how to have a global eq (and i suppose reverb as well) plugin to route to any and all tracks i choose in sonar 4. i know it has something to do with the master bus(?) but i'm not sure how to activate and route it. i have a stand alone mackie mixer, but i'm not that experienced with it and all it does is serve to allow audio for my various sound sources (mpc, various older rackmounts)

i use a template to start most tunes, so i'd like to add it there first then go back and put it into other songs globally that were previously recorded. at this time i'm going the cumbersome route of adding a plugin for each track that i desire eq on; this makes any updates to the song prohibitive, because i usually have to scrap any and all effects and start over with new ones because the new tracks may have something that doesn't work well with the previous eq or reverb that i used the time before.

this is another hump in the curve. any suggestions?

There will be buses to your right of the console view, example go to aux 1 and in the fx bin at the top insert a verb or eq. next on the track you wish to have the fx( depending on your exact setup and what you are veiwing on your console) go mid way up and there should be some "sends". if not, right click and add them.
