How do I put music on itunes?

I know i'm way behind the curve. Interested in putting up my future songs (maybe some already recorded?) on itunes. I'm going to explore itunes this weekend. I didn't see any obvious links for setting up your own store or whatever. Any help is appreciated. Off to work. THNX

Oh, I dunno, save as an mp3 (or otherwise supported file type) in your chosen program...


Then, in iTunes, Select File>Add_File_To_Library...


And you're done.
