Okay,

I figured out how to burn files to cd (see previous post).
Now I want to know how to overdub using headphones.
As you can tell, I'm new to home recording.
I want to record a rhythem guitar and drums, then play back the track while overdubing the lead guitar.
But currently, I'm playing back through my Event monitors.
How do I playback through a set of headphones and overdub the second track?
I have a Mac G4 with a Delta 1010 soundcard and audio interface with 8 ins and outs. Also, I'm running the mics through a mixer.

Hmmm... the Delta has no phone outs? Odd...

Here's how I have my setup- I run everything through my mixer. I have the main outs from my sound card going to a stereo channel on the mixer. I have powered monitors plugged into the main outs of the mixer, and headphones plugged into the headphone jack on the mixer. To go back and forth between the monitors and the cans, I just twist the monitor volume and phone volumes. I'm not sure what your mixer has, but that might be an option for you.

I have Event PS6's, by the way. I like them quite a bit. :) Which do you have?

Have fun!
Chris
