I'm working on my own little Album at home. I just wanted to know how do I know how much vocal and how much music to put together so it can sound proffesional.

Are you asking about how to mix the vocal and music tracks properly? There's no right and wrong, and definitely no exact answer to that question. If you really want guidelines, get the vocal to sit in the mix a little more outfront than the backing tracks, but not to the point that it sticks way out. Make sure the lyrics are understandable above the music. Listen to stuff you like, and is the same style of music that you are recording if you want pro examples. Then you can either shoot for something similar to that, or do something totally different. Just get it sounding good to you, then get other people to listen to it and give an honest opinion. It's your music, it's about being creative.

When you have something recorded and mixed that you want others to hear, post it in the MP3 Mixing clinic and you'll get even more good opinions on your mix.

well what i like to do is turn a mix up that i think is the one and leave that room and listen to it and see if anything sounds like its not part of the mix, another thing i like to do is turn the master volume real low and if all i can hear is the drums and vocals its usually pretty good. well thats what i do so see if that works it might not who knows

Jon X has some good advice, another thing you might try is just close your eyes while you mixdown and just listen. Block everything else out and let your ears tell you what sounds good.
