Go to File>Import>Audio. In this screen, browse for the wav file and click to put it in the far left column. Then double click on the wav file name and it automatically goes to the far right column. Hit Done. This will ask if you want to put it in the same audio folder, just click on that option. I think then it will start importing the wav file. When it gets done with that it will ask how you want to put it on your edit screen, choose to place it in a new track and at the beginning or start of the file. And whala, you should have a new track with your wav file in it. You play it just like any other track, with PLAY. You can shift it around in position, do anything with it you wish.
