how do I get that tone?

How does one go about getting hat creamy, smotth tone to your vocals?

It's hard to hear the "thick, creamy", tone over the "crappy, digital, harsh-soundingness".

Vintage style class A tube amps is how. Marshall stuff, not Fender. EL34s in the power section.

Or a POD tweaked out pretty bad.

If you dig this kind of distortion, ANY cheap tube amp can deliver it. Epiphone makes one for under 150 bucks (combo and head varieties) that I believe COMPLETELY delivers on the slightly overdriven creamy sound. You need to crank it though...Don't laugh at the wattage, a 5 watt tube amp cranked will RIP.
